Michael Goering
Vice President Construction Mgmt
mgoering@venturecapgroup.com

Mike joined Venture taking on the responsibilities of Concierge Development LLC and other Venture originated projects. He will be responsible for all construction management and direction. He has been active in construction and development since receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Northern Arizona University, 1977.  He began with the Washington Construction Company as purchasing agent for the Cave Buttes Dam, an Army Corps flood control project in Phoenix.  Following that, he worked for Chanen Construction Co. as a construction manager building manufacturing plants.

He then joined Gosnell Development Co., Arizona’s leading developer of mixed use and destination resort/residential properties, and creator of Phoenix’s three award winning Pointe Resort communities as a Sr. Projects Manager. After twelve years managing the residential operations for both their Phoenix and the San Diego mixed use communities, he was recruited by Scottsdale luxury builder Monterey Homes as their Vice President of Operations

After assisting with Monterey’s near doubling of volume in two years, Mike was hired by Design Master Homes, to head up their construction department.  In 1995, he formed Comanche Builders LLC primarily to offer consulting services to owner-builders, as well as to assist other real estate developers in a consulting capacity.  As managing principal, he holds combined Arizona commercial and residential general contracting licenses.

In 2002, he joined Pointe Builders, Inc., consulting for their San Diego resort property managing 383 units of new ground up multi family condominium and townhome construction.  After completing infrastructure for their 1st phase consisting of 172 condominiums clustered in 12 buildings over a 10 acre site, he returned to Phoenix to assist the developer of Phoenix Regional Airport consulting on their master planning and for the residential airpark’s 1st phase of 40 taxiway hangar homes.

In 2006, Mike was recruited to take over management of all construction operations for a north Phoenix infill townhome project, The Preserve at Cave Creek. New management took over due to lack of progress with the originally selected builder and witnessed an impressive turn-a-round once Comanche Builders implemented its proven style to the field operations.

Recently, he has been active in southeastern Arizona consulting to Grande Valley Development Group, Inc. with their projects, which include an airpark featuring 54 custom homes & hangars, and renovations to historic buildings in downtown Bisbee, home of the Copper Queen mine.  Having participated hands on with the development of over 2,000 homes, commercial buildings and 400 acres of onsite infrastructure in both Arizona and California during the last 29 years, he is able to ensure projects are completed with the highest level of build quality, investment return and client confidence.

Mike and his family reside in Scottsdale, Arizona.  They enjoy recreational flying in the southwestern U.S. and Mexico, and are involved in charitable work with The Flying Samaritans who, with other volunteer pilots and medical professionals, provide free monthly care to the impoverished at several remote villages in Baja Sur, Mexico.
